Who we are

Beacon AI Technologies, Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in Los Angeles, California. Beacon works out why AI chooses a rival, and tests the change that wins the decision back. Questions about this policy go to privacy@usebeacon.ai.

When you visit our website

We use a product analytics service to see how people use the website: the pages you view, what you click, and a replay of your visit. Anything you type into a form is hidden in replays. Analytics on the website sets no cookies, so each visit starts as a new, anonymous visitor.

Our hosting and analytics providers receive your IP address when your browser connects, and analytics uses it to estimate your city and country. We keep website analytics for up to two years and replays for up to 90 days. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels.

When you write to us

The free audit form asks for your brand, what to audit first, your name and your work email. The contact form asks for your name, your email, your company and your message.

We use what you send to reply to you, to prepare the audit you asked for and to follow up with you about Beacon. We keep it for up to three years after our last contact with you. You can ask us to delete it sooner at privacy@usebeacon.ai.

When you use the Beacon app

Sign-in is handled by an authentication provider, and Beacon does not store passwords. For each person on a customer's team, Beacon keeps their name, their email and their role on each brand they can see.

Inside the app, we record the pages you view, your clicks, your approximate location and a replay of your session, linked to your account email, so we can improve the product. Password fields are never recorded.

The app keeps a small amount in your browser so it works: your sign-in session, your theme and sidebar preferences, where you are in the app, and an analytics identifier.

What Beacon receives and does not receive about the brands it works for, and their customers, is on the Security page. Beacon does not process the personal data of its customers' own customers.

Who we share it with

We use service providers for hosting, analytics, email and sign-in. They handle personal information only to provide their service to Beacon. Beacon does not sell or share personal information.

Your rights

For personal data Beacon holds about you, including your account information, you have the right to:

• Access. Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Correction. Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion. Request deletion of your personal data and account.
• Portability. Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection. Object to processing of your personal data.

California residents (CCPA). Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Beacon does not sell personal information. Beacon will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@usebeacon.ai. Beacon responds to verified requests within 30 days.

International data transfers

Beacon's services and data infrastructure are hosted in the United States. If you access Beacon from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.

Breach notification

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, Beacon will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach via email and in-app notification. Notice will include the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the steps Beacon is taking to mitigate the impact.

Changes to this policy

Beacon may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Beacon after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
